My name is Brian Garrahan, and I've been racing motocross since 1989. I got started racing with my brother Patrick and my father Al. They actually went to the races for a year or two without me because I was not interested in racing. I didn't take racing seriously until Patrick went to the ISDE qualifiers. He qualified for the world Junior team. I thought if Patrick was that good, I should give it a go.
My first race at Carnegie hills was a d-36 race and Patrick lapped me. I probably crashed twenty five times.
What I like most about motocross is the competition the sport brings and the competitiveness. I really enjoy the training you have to do to be a the top of your game.
I like riding all over the US; the west coast tracks are good like, Idaho, Hollister, and Wilseyville. I really enjoy the dirt on the east coast. The east coast also gets rain year around so the dirt doesn’t bake out like out west. I really enjoy riding Keohka, MS, Crawfordsville IN, and Northern MI.
Today, Patrick and I aso operate G-Brothers Racing University, where we train the next generation of riders. Check out info on upcoming classes.
