American Superbike, both Bostroms finish in the top 7posted in Superbike on Jul 25th 2010 at 8:20pm.

Though he’s been the class of the American Superbike field at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca’s Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix all weekend, Ben Bostrom made it difficult on himself in today’s AMA Pro Road Racing final, which took place after the MotoGP race. The Californian–who had five wins here in the past (one in AMA Superbike, one in Formula Xtreme, and three in World Superbike) led from his pole-position start, only to make a miscue in the Corkscrew and go off the track. At that point, he was overtaken by fell0w Yamaha rider Josh Hayes, but Bostrom tracked down the class points-leader and passed him back on the fifteenth of twenty-three laps. From there, Bostrom rode to the win on his special liveried Pat Clark Motorsports Yamaha YZF-R1, though Hayes put in a late charge that came up .440 seconds short. Hayes’ title rival Tommy Hayden took advantage of an overshot turn by Jake Holden to snare the final podium position. The top five were rounded out by Holden and Larry Pegram. After his win, Bostrom was congratulated not only by Hayes, but also reigning World Superbike champ (and bicycling buddy) Ben Spies and a host of European Ducati and Yamaha mechanics. Results
