Taylor Robert Returns to WORCS at Glen Helen
Just checking in to update everyone on my recovery. As most of you may know I tore my ACL and meniscus during the third lap of the first WORCS race this year. I almost pulled off, but it is way to hard to quit when you are winning. I pushed through the pain for the next hour and a half because I knew if I was going to be out for a while I wanted to go out on top. I got my knee checked out the next day and I decided that I was going to have surgery to repair the ACL and meniscus. I just turned 20 last week and I figured I have a long career ahead of me and I didn't want that injury to come back and haunt me.
Its been 5 months since I had surgery and I just started riding a few weeks ago. I am feeling great and I don't feel like I have lost any speed. I can't thank my physical therapist enough, Nate at Endurance Rehab, for getting me stronger than I have ever been before and getting me ready to come back ahead of where I left off. I am gonna train hard for the next two months and come back 100% at Glen Helen. I will race the last two WORCS races and then I'm off to Mexico City, Mexico to represent Team USA on the Junior Trophy Team.
See ya at the races,
Taylor Robert
