WORCS CROSS8/8/2010    Olympia, WA. WORCS Rd. 8                             Maria Forsberg, Riding her Maxxis, FMF, PG Grafx, Power_Parts, GPR, KTM 250 XC F, finished 1st, both weekends at WORCS Rds. 7 and 8 in Olympia, WA.Maria has the 2010 GNCC Women’s Championship title wrapped up with 4 GNCC rounds remaining. Congratulations Maria. Kacy Martinez, riding her Maxxis, FMF, PG Grafx, Power_Parts, GPR, KTM 250 XC F, finished 2nd, both weekends at WORCS Rds. 7 and 8. Team mates Maria and Kacy put on some of the best racing of the weekend running nose to tail and side by side most of the laps. In round 7 Kacy led for about 1hr. 12 min. in the1hr. 15 min. race. One little fall and Maria slipped by. Kacy had her front wheel beside Maria at the finish. Round 8, Kacy got off to the lead. It rained pretty hard and Maria loves the mud. At about the half way mark Maria was able to take advantage of a bobble by Kacy and shortly after that Kacy was held up in a bottle neck, Kacy still managed to finish 2nd. Everyone really enjoyed watching 2 of the best off road women racers in the world compete with each other at the same events.Kacy has the 2010 WORCS Women’s Pro Championship title wrapped up with 2 WORCS rounds remaining. Congratulations Kacy. Kevin Rookstool, Riding a  dealer support RPM/KTM 450 SX and 300 XC from KTM dealer Oregon’s Best Performance, was the only rider in Las Vegas to start morning qualifiers and make it all the way into the main event. Kevin finished 11th in his Endurocross debut. Kevin put on a brand new pair of SIDI boots for Endurocross and with only about 5 minutes break in time he was comfortable to race with them. The next week Rookstool finished 21st. overall at the AMA MX National in Washougal. The next weekend at WORCS Rd. 7 a 10th place, Friday Nights WORCS CROSS a 5th Place and then a 7th in the WORCS Rd. 8 event.Now some rest and conditioning before heading to Oklahoma for Endurocross Rd. 2. Chris Bach, Riding a Maxxis, FMF, PG Grafx, Power_Parts, GPR, KTM 450 XC F, has won the last 5 Indiana area Off Road events in a row. Chris is 5th in GNCC Pro points and is preparing for the Indy Endurocross Rd. 3 in his home State of Indiana. Brenden Ritzman, riding a Maxxis, FMF, PG Grafx, Power_Parts, GPR, KTM 450 XC F, finished 6th in WORCS Rd. 7 and 6th in WORCS rd. 8. It began as a Dirt Track Stock Car Racing team and grew into a NASCAR Craftsman Truck race team in 1994. In 1996 Mike retired from Nascar Truck racing. After a few years managing and working for NASCAR race teams Mike had started riding dirt bikes again. In 1999 Sharie and Mike were discussing long term future options and they decided to put their efforts into a motorcycle Off Road race team that would develop into a NASCAR type race team over the long term future. The AMA has always been part of Motorcycle racing and the team now focuses on WORCS and Endurocross series. Maria Forsberg joined the team in 2002 and has produced 4 WORCS Women’s Championships.Maria signed for her 8th year with the team and will race the GNCC Series in 2010 for RPM/KTM Racing Team. Bobby Prochnau the Canadian Off Road Champion joined in 2008 and finished 7th in Endurocross championship points in 2008 and 12th in 2009. Bobby won 8 National Canadian Enduro race in a row in 2009 on his way to winning that Championship. Brenden Ritzman joined the team for the 2009 season and finished 8th in Pro points. Brenden will contend for the WORCS Pro Championship. Our newest star, Kacy Martinez is the 2009 WORCS Women Pro Champion. Kacy will contend for the WORCS 2010 Championship and limited WMA races. We have put together many sponsors and supporters over the years and we couldn’t do it without them.
