Endurocross Race Report Round 4posted in Enduro/Cross Country on Sep 29th 2010 at 3:15pm.

Everett, Washington
September 13, 2010

I apologize for being MIA for the past couple of weeks, but my MacBook crashed while I was on the road and I just got it fixed so I am back in action on the track and on the computer! I was up in Washington already for Top Gun Motocross a week before Everett Endurocross. Top Gun was pretty successful 9 motos over three days I finished pretty well with podium finishes nearly every moto. More importantly I stayed healthy and ready for the following weekend Endurocross race. We arrived in Everett on Friday at around 4pm and were able to scope the town out it was cool seeing all the “mom and pops” stores. I got to give a hand to the Endurocross crew finding this venue because it was an awesome atmosphere; a lot of bars, pubs, pizza joints and places of that sort to hang out at so I’m sure it was fun for the fans. A town like that makes it perfect for the fans. They can show up, pre party right across the street and walk over to watch the race. In fact the place was sold out packed to the roof with screaming fans! I was excited because my 21st Birthday was coming up on the 13th two days after the race and wanted to celebrate it with a win!

The track was gnarly! Looking at it from the stands it didn’t seem so bad the amateurs were getting through it without too much trouble. I’m not sure what happened but as soon as the night show started and the water was getting around the track it was slippery, rutted, nasty, total chaos. So another Endurocross started I was pumped and ready to get the racing underway. The heat race I came out of the start like a cannon grabbed the holeshot and was leading the first lap until someone ran into the back of me knocked me down and got caught up in my rear wheel. I lost a bunch of positions right there but it was like dominos. Dietrich was down, Redmond flew off the side of the track over the bars, other guys were stuck in the rocks trying to start a fire. I came out charged it back into third, made the pass for second after a few laps and was in the main event just like that, NBD!

The main was going to be a slugfest. I knew I was nailing my starts and did just that for the main. Taddy bumped me from behind pushing me wide then he got all squirrely over the first log with nowhere to go I straight t-boned him knocking him down. After that, still in good position, fourth place, I made the pass into third when Graffunder went down in front of me I had to wait for him to get his bike off mine. While Blazusiak out of nowhere jumps in front of me I’m following him up the rocks and he gets all sideways and I run into him again. This time giving him a bump to get the drive out of the rocks while I was left there in dead last spinning. The rest of the race didn’t go any smoother guys went down left and right and I made it back into sixth. Sixth sixth sixth for the last three rounds every one of those races I ended the first lap in last! I need to start halfway in the pack at least and move up from there! Not too happy about the end results but I am in the main events I have some things to work on and have some things to be happy about - to have my health and have the opportunity to do what I love… ride my motorcycle! I got to remember how lucky I am for everything I get to do and see. I’m living my dream, no one said it would be easy. What does make it easier are the great sponsors and supporters I have behind me. Nothing would be possible without them!
Thank you everyone: Lucas Oil, Kawasaki, Scott USA, Alpinestars, KLeN, Yoshimura, Guts, IMS, Acerbis, Renthal, Dunlop, Works Connection, Ride PG, my mechanic Tanner, my parents, my girlfriend Hannah, everyone from Lucas Oil Scotty Mac, Bob Patison, Tom Bogner, Manny, Sean, Geo, Ross, Aaron, Will, Ryan, Trevor, everyone! Family vacation in New Jersey highlights the following week and ending the month of October at Round 5 of Endurocross in Denver! It will be nice to have a little time off and see my family it has been a hectic last two months with driving and traveling through and over ten states racing every weekend for the past two months! Been throwing down the seat time just the wrong kind haha! Glad to be focusing on the last two Endurocrosses and hope to throw down and make big things happen! Only time will tell. Meanwhile check out my lastest video going over a new rock right behind my house. This rock is over ten feet tall, with a sketchy loose entrance and three clumped up rocks set up as the kicker.

Link below check it!
