More unknowns than usual heading into Daytonaposted in NASCAR on Jul 2nd 2010 at 11:11am.

The Nationwide Series may have a new car this weekend in Daytona, but the Sprint Cup Series has something new of its own -- a new restrictor plate. The plate that'll be used for Saturday night's Coke Zero 400 will have 1 1/32-inch openings, the largest opening ever.
With the new restrictor plate and the different aerodynamic package, including the new rear spoiler, who knows what will happen when the cars take to the track on Saturday night? Of course, restrictor plate racing provides a lot of unknowns anyway -- especially with the phenomenon known as "the big one" -- but with so many new features on the car since NASCAR's last competitive visit to the track (February), questions regarding who'll finish where loom even larger than usual.
