It is another first for NASCAR as the July 3rd broadcast of for the Coke Zero 400 at the Daytona International Speedway will be offered in 3D
The broadcast will be carried by TNT and DirctecTV and also available on RaceBuddy on your computer. Of course you will have to have 3D glasses to be viewed on your computer, and your TV does have to be one of the new 3D TV’s being offered.
I have been waiting for years for the 3D TV to become a reality and I for one believe this to be another milestone for NASACR as it is the first sports broadcast ever to be offered televised in HD. This should give you a warm and fuzzy feeling too.
3D has been a long time coming, as was the flat hang in the wall TV’s. Do you know where I saw my first 70” flat TV hanging on the wall and operating? It was at the 1962 Worlds Fair in Seattle Washington. Yes, back then it existed.
Europe have had 3D TV for a while with broadcasts in full swing on satellite. There have been some negative talk about 3D TV saying that it causes people to be ill when watching it. That would be the same people that would not be able to attend a 3D movie either and more than likely have motion sickness.
Now, to watch 3D TV either on a TV or in this case, for those that do not have a new 3D TV, with RaceBuddy on your computer, you will need special 3D glasses. If you have ever been to a 3D movie lately, Shrek Forever After: 3D or AVATAR. You might have saved your glasses. Those should work for you.
You know that I will be tuned in and have mine on. Congratulations to NASCAR for another first.

I saw this advertised, and it sounds like fun - but I don't know anyone with a 3D TV! I love the plan of going on RaceBuddy - I still have my Avatar glasses.
