Vic Elford is at the top of my favorite drivers list.  Even if you think you know all about "Quick" Vic you should read the bio on his website to see the full, amazing, list of wins, lap records, cars driven, and teams he's driven for.  If you can think of anyone else who has been as versatile and successful as he has, please post a comment because I'd love to know about them!  Mr Elford was the guest at Lime Rock Park this past September 3rd - 6th, for the Vintage Festival.  I had a couple of different opportunities to talk to him and was lucky enough to capture his interview on video.  Murray Smith conducted the interview, in front of an audience of about 300 (I'm guessing), for almost an hour.  One of the funniest parts of the night was when Vic was telling us about a race he ran at Watkin's Glen.  Skip Barber, owner of Lime Rock Park, is part of that story and was there that night.  He came out of the audience to share "his side of the story".  Although I am a regular at Lime Rock, I had never heard Skip speak before so I found the whole thing very entertaining.  You can see the short story on TrackStories.org since it is now posted there as the feature presentation for November.
