Ask and ye shall receive!
In my last post, I indicated we needed a little more on-track "action." Some good old fashioned use of the "chrome horn." The renewal of long-standing rivalries.
Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski delivered last night during the final laps of the Nationwide race at Gateway - in a big way!
While we never want to see anyone get hurt as a result of on-track incidents, the carnage that was the finish-line wreck (caused by Edwards and resulting in Keselowski's car being destined for the junk heap) is now today's replay on every national broadcast and internet network from CNN to ESPN and all sites in between.
This is exactly what the marketing minds of NASCAR want. Coverage. Sound bytes.
Keselowski's dad durning a post race interview stating Edwards was trying to "kill his kid," and he (a former driver himself) wants to "suit up and take him (Edwards) out."
Here's a rivalry worth following. And, a storyline that will no doubt have staying power throughout the careers of these two stars.
